Why I like being a pet buddy: My mother was the one who encouraged my love for animals. I have had many animals, including: pet lizards, fish, dogs, pheasants, and snakes. I love the excitement that comes with caring for and being around pets. I feel very comfortable meeting new people and taking care of their animals is a way I can help out in the community.
About my pets: I have had a lot of animals in my life. Some I have found and some I bought. I would like to share with you a little about my last dog. My last dog was a smart, fun chocolate lab that I named Alex. I got him for my 14 birthday and he was a great companion for me as I grew up and went through my teenage years. I taught him great obedience. The hunting that we did together was his natural instinct, and is still some of my best memories. I miss having such a great dog; he passed away two years ago from old age. I have also loved and had pet birds, fish, and reptiles. I look forward to loving your animals the same way I loved my own.
Other interests: I enjoy Camping, wilderness survival, backcountry skiing, fly fishing, fly tying, and Mt. Biking. I have been a Utah Fly Fishing Guide for over four years now and a Utah Real Estate Agent for over one year.
Education: B.A. Business-Entrepreneurship from Utah Sate University(2009). First aid certified. EMT b certified.

Why I like being a pet buddy: Aside from my general magnetism towards anything that barks, squawks, squeaks or meows (with the exception of a few insects here and there), I knew early on that I wanted to be a caretaker of the furry, feathery, and scaly kind. My favorite book when I was little was about the "behind-the-scenes" of a zoo nursery. One look and I was hooked. I must have asked my mom to check it out from the library every other week, and to this day she still talks about it. It felt as if becoming a Veterinary Nurse was in my DNA. I love caring for sick and injured animals and helping their owners through difficult decisions and situations. It’s nice to step away from the medical side once in a while and spend time with healthy animals in their home environment, where they are happiest and most playful! Spending that quality one on one time with pets, giving them belly rubs and walking them in the fresh air, just can’t be beat!
About my pets: Growing up as an only child, my undying love for animals naturally evolved into them being more “siblings” to me than pets. My cat Cookie is pushing 20 years old and I honestly consider him my brother. We grew up together. Chasing each other, playing hide and seek, snuggling up to take naps, playing dress up, even going on walks occasionally. He is always there for me when I am happy or sad, and one of the best set of ears to talk to. Unfortunately he still lives in North Carolina, out in the countryside with my parents and enjoying his retirement. And my boyfriend and I have a new set of furry babies of our own: Posey (a beagle), Delilah (a corgi), and two kitties named Orion and Athena. And while these four have absolutely stolen my heart, there is still a special untouchable place in my heart for Cookie Monster and our life together as “brother and sister”.
Other interests: Camping, hiking, sewing, painting, scuba diving, traveling, and spending quality couch time with my animals
Education: I am a Registered Veterinary Technician, and graduated with honors from Gaston College in North Carolina with an Associate’s Degree in Veterinary Medical Technology in 2004. I have experience as an Emergency and Critical Care Veterinary Nurse, as well as large animal and general veterinary practice experience.
